Clarification, YOUTUBE & all that

Holla girl! 

Kailee Smith's blog is not a beauty blog. My blog isn't a beauty blog. It just so happens that I wanna do a YouTube channel but I don't want my name to be up in the internet. 

YouTube is really great. I have been watching Style Haul partners since 2011. If you guys don't know what Style Haul partners are they are the people who makes YouTube videos specifically fashion look books, make-up related (tutorials), makeup and clothing haul. They get to be paid by making these kinda videos and also by the amount of subscribers, video views and thumbs up. But also, there are a lot of sides at youtube. Music, beauty, electronics and all.

I really want to have Youtube as my job. Doing my job that I love? Whoa. I think everyone dreams of that! If you read my beauty blogs which are only 2 as of now, then maybe youre interested in watching SH partners as well! These are few of the youtubers I would recommend you guys watching.

Michelle Phan (michellephan) - First beauty video maker. Has an own elite makeup line now. Named EM cosmetics. Yes, elite. Its like a CHANEL, or YSL brand. 4, 810, 000 million subscribers and counting!

Bethany Mota (macbarbie07) - One of the teen makeup youtubers that has a lot of youtubers. 3 Million + and counting! Currently on 'Aeropostale' Asia tour: Macbarbie meet and greet!

Amanda Steele (makeupbymandy24) - A 14 year old successful youtuber! Started at a super young age (10 years old) on youtube doing makeup! 700k subscribers and counting. 

I wanted to share this because I have a passion for this. If you guys want a beauty blog, I got it. If you also want a life blog, I got you girl.

School makeup bag

Hi yalls! 

Now Im gonna be telling you guys what i keep in my makeup bag for school or maybe what you all should keep.

1. Oil blotting sheets
Maybe you guys know this but, I am more of a dry skin person more than oily. But if I have gym class, I will surely bring this. I would recommend clean and clear oil absorbing sheets! For those oily girls out there, oily face aint cute so bring this with you all the time!

2. Chapstick
Because you dont want that lips be looking unhealthy and ratchet. Wrinkly lips? Not cute girl! I would either use Burts Bees, EOS lipbalm or baby lips from Maybelline. Oh and dont be the girl who asks to borrow someone's chapstick. Even though you ask them from your friends! Its not sanitary.

3. Bobby pins & hair ties
This is pretty self explanatory. I always have a black hair tie around my wrist cause it can look pretty cute! And as a girl, emergency happens. Yes, I call my 'bad hair day' days emergency! And dont be the girl who asks for these kinda things & not be able to give it back! I know I was.

4. Sanitizer
BETTER KEEP THOSE GERMS OUT OF YOUR HANDS. Bath and body works has the best ones!

5. Travel size perfume bottle or roll ons
I like when people hugs me and tell me I smell so nice. Actually, what I bring is the full size bath and body works body mist bottle. I always put on perfume before going to school, before lunch, after lunch & before going home. Sorry not sorry.


----- optional stuff.

1. Lipstick/ Tinted lipbalm
Any color you would sport for a day! I tend to use dead pink colors because it looks kinda natural but still pretty! Its okay to wear any kind, just dont get crazy with it! (Like orange, neon pink) For tinted lipbalm, you can use baby lips by maybelline or covergirl smoochies! And there are right colors for right days and right seasons. Please know this. Oh and I wear different shades everyday. Oops.

2. Powder
If you're a teen and you're oily, powder and blotting sheets are your bestfriends. If youre gonna ask why, please dont.

3. Brown Eyeliner
This can be the make or break of your face for those lazy days you tend to have! Use it to frame your brows and line the half of your waterline. Look presentable in less than 3 minutes! (I can do this while walking!) NYX has good one!

4. Gum
Yes, gum. Because you dont want people to know you had mac and cheese for breakfast. My fave gum is Orbit, in blue packaging.


Sometimes if I wont wear full face makeup, I would just wear whats in my makeup bag. Chapstick, lipstick of the day and brown eyeliner! Be creative.

Getting started

Hey lovelies! 

I really really want to start a youtube channel where in I could make beauty videos and such but Im just not that comfortable and confident with myself talking to people through it and get criticize or really hate in the comments section and i thought, why not start here?


Alright, now for a teen like me. The most important beauty/skincare products are moisturizer, a gentle cleanser and a face scrub/exfoliator! Im gonna tell you guys what I use and what would I recommend to yall!


I have extremely dry skin and what I use to cleanse my face is the Cetaphil gentle cleanser! Its really nice and it helps my skin a lot. I use it 2x a day! Now for me, I always find time to exfoliate my face. What I use is my HANDS DOWN HOLY GRAIL, St. Ives Green Tea Scrub. I love this product because its like youre putting refined sugar on your skin & it feels heavenly great! Whenever I seem to break out, I use it at least 2x a week and it helps my face calm down a bit.

For my moisturizer, I use my Cetaphil moisturizer! It's creamy and its really perfect for my skin type since again, I have dry skin! You know the times when you put on your foundation without putting any moisturizer on then you see white flakes on your skin? That's dryness. Now its almost the fall time, its getting a little bit chilly outside and you have to have an intense moisturizer every night or if you're gonna go somewhere in the night time.

If you have oily skin, you still need the 3 of these. I would recommend to you guys what my sister uses! FOr cleanser she uses the clean and clear morning burst or aveeno foam facial cleanser! It doesnt matter when or how many times in a week. Her weekly exfoliator is the St. Ives blemish control. It doesnt really matter if you get break outs but I guess you could find the perfect ones for your skin type. Her moisturizer is the clean and clear dual action moisturizer. The one that comes in a blue pump! All of the stuff mentioned can be found in the drugstore!


For facial mask, we love using PETER TOMAS ROTH''s sulfur mask! You can find it at Sephora or Ulta! Its a little bit in the pricey side but its worth it. Try to buy the sample size at Sephora and tell me what you think about it! :)


The ones I recommended you may not be the best for your skin type but really, in order for you to find the most perfect products for your own skin., you have to try a bunch of products. I swear though.

School=Stress

Hi! Yes, another update. :) I missed typing my heart out! Lol. I have always done this. But not in a website like this. Or any other blog site. Its usually in my notes or a diary. I love those. I always look back to my diary that I had for a good 1 school year when I was in 6th grade. Anywaaay!

So... Uhm, i dont really know what to talk about other than school. As you guys might know im in my 10th grade. Yes, I'm a sophomore! Its really stressful cause I'm a late enrollee since I came 2 months after the opening of classes which was at June 10th, and that day was actually my flight to the orange county, California!


As I have said, its really stressing me out but whatever. I keep pushing. I'm not the kind of person that you should criticize in order for them to be eager to aim their goal. What I need is the opposite. I need someone that would tell me that they trust me. But the 2 girls of my life, my mother & my sister is not doing that.

I feel so down but I got my friends. They are family. And that leads me to another topic!

I only have my 4 closest friends and I would call the 2 of them my only bestfriends! They are the only people who knows my struggles. Actually, I would say none of them knows my hardest ones. But thats okay, maybe behind the really happy go lucky, Kailee* is a person who keeps a lot of secrets and is so sensitive. I would say my secrets and another problems to my bestfriends but I wouldnt say all details. Thats really not me, I guess.

I'll keep it short right now because its kind of late in the evening and tomorrow is Monday soooo, yup. I will update again tomorrow evening! I love doing these. (I dont even know if someone actually reads these!)

Promises

How are all you guys doing? I am gonna update you all!

So now its September 14, at least in where I live in. Im finally back at school after 4 short months of vacation! I don’t like being here back in my country which probably you guys know, The Philippines.

People have been asking me why. Why I wanna come back to California & live there. Well, I don’t  know either. I just feel it. You know what? If I wont be able to come back there while I am in high school, right after I finish my high school here, I will study there. UCLA, to be exact.  Mark my words. Tonight is September 14 of 2013. And I am promising myself that I will take up my college at UCLA. I promise that. UCLA or nothing.  Its not about the financial thing anymore. I will strive my very best. Im on my  10^th grade now. & yes, I am not that good of a student. But I will… no, scratch that. I HAVE to study at UCLA. It’s the only thought that keeps me going right now. Yes, not my family. Not my parents but that goal. That and that goal alone. In 2 years time, I will live in a nice apartment near UCLA with a friend being the responsible person I am not right now. (But will be!)
